[Development of Prayer Convocation in Hokkaido]
Since May 2002, some churches in Sapporo have been organizing united prayer and worship meetings for 5 years. Every time 150-250 people participate and they have been preparing a foundation for revival.
Chuck Pierce, who is one of the most noted prophets at present, came to Sapporo and there was a special meeting held at Christ For The Nations Japan Bible School with him as a guest speaker. He wasn't invited to Sapporo by anyone. He usually only goes to places where God leads him. He felt led by the Lord to come to Sapporo and the prophetic meeting held in Hokkaido was a significant event.
He prophesied many times over Hokkaido during the message, but suddenly he started to prophesy that Osaka would be the beginning of the opening of the heavens over Japan.
The pastors and the leaders who were involved in the united prayer & worship meetings felt that the prayer convocation in Osaka planned for April 2006, was the fulfillment of the above prophecy, which led about 30 people in Hokkaido to the prayer convocation in Osaka. Many of the participants commented that it was a meeting that was better than any other meeting they had ever participated in. They brought passion and the fire of the Holy Spirit back to Hokkaido.
The organization behind this prayer convocation is Jerusalem House Of Prayer For All Nations (JHOPFAN), which holds an annual prayer convocation in Jerusalem where some thousands of people participate from over one hundred nations every year. JHOPFAN has been doing 24-7 prayer for over 20 years at the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem. JHOPFAN’s prayer convocation seems like a spiritual united nations. Many of the participants not only participate in the meetings in Jerusalem, but also participate in 24-7 prayer at prayer towers in each of their cities.
Therefore, the prayer convocation in Jerusalem is not just an event but a sign of a worldwide prayer movement.

[The plan of the Lord for Hokkaido]
There were people in Hokkaido who wanted a prayer convocation to be held in Hokkaido also, so suddenly the first prayer convocation was held in Hokkaido in October, 2006. About 350 people participated. Also there was a prayer meeting that lasted 36 hours including meeting times during the prayer convocation. It was a time of a great blessing beyond description.
During the meetings, there was a time of repentance for the sins of Hokkaido before the Lord. And after this time, gold dust fell on the platform which has never happened in Japan, which seemed to show that God was responding to our prayers of repentance.
In some ways Hokkaido can be called a very dark place. Many prisoners were sent to Hokkaido from the mainland. There is a history of persecuting the native Ainu tribes, blood shedding in the times of pioneering the land, the history of Sapporo promoting prostitution in order to develop their economy, and many other curses. However, there is hope, because the dawn comes where it is darkest. Now is the time for the Sun of Righteousness to arise in Hokkaido.
As it is written in II Chronicles 7:14, when the people of God confess their sins and pray to God, the Lord will heal their land.
And this year, Tom Hess, the founder of the JHOPFAN, is coming to visit Hokkaido for the 2007 Prayer Convocation in Hokkaido. We can see that there is great interest in our land coming from the nations of the world.

[The Awakening of Japan that the Nations Wait for]
The impressive message we received at the prayer convocation in Osaka was that Asia and the nations are waiting for Japan to wake up spiritually. There have been fires of revival in many nations, but Japan has to be awakened for world revival to come.
According to tradition, it is said that the Messiah is coming into Jerusalem through the Golden Gate that is closed now. JHOPFAN understands that the east Asian nations, where the Lion gate and the Golden gate are located, have the role of preparing the way of the Lord.
Also, many vessels of the Lord have received revelation that Hokkaido is a key to revival. This is manifested by the fact that recently many intercessors have been sent to Hokkaido.
In short, Japan is a door to the nations and Hokkaido is a door to Japan. Eventually Hokkaido has a great mission to fulfill for the coming of the Lord.
Therefore, Satan has built thick spiritual walls in Japan. But the time has come for those walls to be destroyed.
