Judge Pal was one of the judges who was delegated by the allied nations for the sake of Tokyo trials. While 10 other judges insisted that Japan should be guilty just like a fixed match, he was the only one that insisted the innocence of Japan.
His arguments were as follows:
- The war of Japan was a war to defend itself.
- Japan did not instruct any organizational massacre.
- Japan did not commit any war crime according to the international law.
- This trial is a bullying trial of the defeated nations by the victorious nations.
- The remote cause of the Pacific War was because American and European countries went out to Asia in order to colonize Asia.
