Tokyo trials were to condemn Japan

After the war, Tokyo trials were operated, imitating Nürnberg trials which judged Germany.

The reason why this trial was most unfair was because judgment was done according to the ‘crime against peace’ or ‘crime against humanity’ based on the laws, which were ex-post facto law. Also this trial was not accused of perjury.

However, things did not work out smoothly such as the case of Germany, because Japan had not committed such war crimes as massacre of the Jews which Germany had committed.

Therefore ‘Nanjing Incident’ which is Nanking Massacre was invented. In Nanking in 1937, there were many groups of mass media of nations of the world. If there was such an incident and if it were a fact, it should have been reported as such. But it was in this court when the massacre in Nanking by the Japanese army was mentioned for the first time.

Another reason why Nanking Massacre was invented was so that the U.S. may not be accused of massacre of 200,000 people in Hiroshima and 140,000 people in Nagasaki by distraction.

This trial was done in order to humiliate the lost nations by the victorious nations. Therefore, as it was planned, all the 28 accused people were made guilty.

Among the judges in this court, there was none familiar with the international law except Indian judge Radhabinod Pal, which was such a poor situation. He wrote a judicial decision for the innocence of Japan.
